Henan Distribution Transformer Microgrid Project

2026-04-13

Project Description

The project establishes an active balancing microgrid system based on the distribution transformer area, integrating generation, grid, load, and energy storage (Source–Grid–Load–Storage). The solution is designed to address typical application scenarios such as renewable energy integration, intelligent power quality management, and low-voltage power supply reliability improvement.

Through coordinated control of distributed energy resources and energy storage, the system significantly enhances operational stability and response speed of the distribution transformer area. It plays an important role in peak shaving, valley filling, peak load support, and safe grid operation.

System Performance

After the deployment of the transformer-area Energy Storage System:

The transformer area load rate decreased to 53%, reducing grid pressure.

The end-user voltage increased to 220V, improving power supply quality.

During peak electricity consumption periods, such as high seasonal demand from local guesthouses, the energy storage system performs real-time monitoring and phase-based control of three-phase power, effectively preventing three-phase imbalance and solving the low-voltage issue at the end of the distribution line.

Emergency Power Support

In the event of a sudden fault on the 10kV distribution line, the energy storage system can provide approximately 5 hours of uninterrupted power supply, ensuring reliable emergency power support for local users and improving overall grid resilience.
